2 for the price of 1 for our October Players(!) of the Month! A big well done to Dylan & Jude Lowden!

Dylan is quiet and conscientious when it comes to training. He has been attended twice a week and has improved considerably since he started. Dylan has been working hard on his technique and has made some significant changes in the past month. He has a wonderful serve and has really mastered this as one of his super strengths! We love Dylan’s work ethic and he is always considerate to new players in the groups.
We are excited to see how Dylan continues to progress and think he thoroughly deserves to be one of the players of the month.

Jude is a little pocket rocket and has been attending twice a week for a while now. He always arrives with energy and enthusiasm, definitely one of the fastest players in the Academy!
Jude is always polite and well behaved, he absorbs information and tries his best to apply the advice from the coaches. He is competitive but fair and one hundred per cent in every session. His backhand has improved so quickly and is now his strongest side! All the coaches agree he deserves this honour and look forward to more successes in the future.

The first round of this season’s 2021/22 EJS Grand Prix kicks off next Sunday 28th November at our home of the Colchester Garrison.
Entry was due to close today- but the EJS committee have extended until Saturday 20th.
Please get involved if you can, perfect for an intro into tournaments & eligible to players who are not part of the main county team.

Don’t forget to enter the Essex Junior Squash Grand Prix series, the first one is at the Garrison!
This is a perfect tournament for new players to squash so they can play children of similar ability in a fun but competitive environment.
Tournament categories are based on school years so Year 4 & under, Year 6 & under, Year 8 & under & Year 10 & under. Kids are eligible to play so long as they DON’T play for the county main team (you CAN play if you’re in the development squad).
