Who are we and how did Off The Wall Squash come about?
Off The Wall Squash has evolved from the enthusiasm of a group of people with vast experience in organising, coaching and playing squash.
Whilst developing the Academy in Colchester we will also work in a variety of areas including: Coach Education and mentoring, teacher training, school squash, tournaments and exhibitions, player support and development.
We have chosen to register Off The Wall Squash as a ‘CIC’ – Community Interest Company, this means that any profits made will be used for the development of squash. CIC’s are a relatively new Government initiative that allow companies to be formed and registered with Companies House and operate to benefit the community without the strict rules that are applied to charities. Below is a short introduction to the team;
Emily Ison – Director of Coaching, Level 2 coach, Suffolk County Head Junior Coach & former professional player.
Lee Horton – Director of Media, over 30 years’ experience with national press, founding partner of squashmad.com and the author behind essexjuniorsquash.com

What is the ultimate aim of Off The Wall Squash?
With a team totalling in excess of 140 years combined experience in the squash and sport industry in coaching, club management, competing, sport development, marketing, media, volunteering, sport delivery, tutoring, mentoring and administration, our mission is to bring the game of squash to as wide an audience as possible, inspiring a new generation to achieve their potential.
Our mission is to pass on our enthusiasm for the game, making the enjoyment of playing just as important as the competing.
